Guitar strings

What do you use? I currently use 10-52 slinkys. I'm thinking about elixirs though... But, I have tried different brands, and I have trouble comparing them considering by the time the new ones are in, i've forgotten the sound and feel of the old ones. So what are your thoughts?

On my electrics GHS Boomers 9-42. Although if I could find their 9.5 set I'd try those--or if someone made 10-44--I'd try those--I may try it with buying singles--at least on my Les Paul.

On my Mustang I sometimes use Fender Super Bullets--same gauge--I used to be able to get a 10 to 42 or 44 set years ago.

On my classical--Augustine reds.

On my 12 string--Adamas Phosphor Bronze--when I can find them.

on electrics i use GHS Boomer 10-52's. I dont know whats on my acoustic, but i think there Martin strings... i tihnk.

is there much difference in tone from brand to brand? not gauge, brand. Although, now that i think about it, i guess gauge too

i dont know, but i would assume that gauge would make a huge difference.

I have no idea, but they're gauge nine I think. When I need to replace them I'll probably go for the thickest strings there are.

I find the xxl DaDario strings always sound brighter and feel newer longer. there also easier to bend aswell.

I have dean markley blue steels, 10s on my LP, 11s on Mustang. Love them.

right now, GHS boomers 11's, brand doesn't matter to me. but the gauge does for sound and duriblity reasons. also, after months of playing friend's elixers, im compelled to try 'em out.. they just seem to stay brighter longer than anything else in addition to not breaking as well.

nothing below 11's for me, no exceptions if i have money.

I use Vintage Nickels on the Jagstang, usually in a 9 or 10 weight, for some reason I'm paranoid about running really heavy strings on it. I use 12s on my strat.

yeah. I used to have trouble bending strings because of my skinny ass boney fingers but, when I use xl strings I can bend with ease.

When i started getting serious about guitar playing, and bending 10's were making me cry, i thought about how to get used to it and the simple solution was to play 12's for a few months and then walla, 10's feel like cotton candy as you americans would say.
