Spitfire The best guitar I ever played or owned has been my ES-335. Beautiful player, versatile tones. It's been my main guitar for 20 years. I prefer the sound of hollows/semis over solids. There's something more organic sounding about them IMO.
XxMangoxX I prefer Epiphone Les Pauls. I own a heritage Cherry Sunburst LP 100. Probably the only Les Paul I will ever own, because I got the first one in the right colour for the right price. Gibson Les Pauls are ridiculously priced. I recently saw one for $6,000!!!

Richie Yeah, Gibson/ Les Paul came up with the concept and actually designed/ made them first, Fender cottoned on and banged out Telecasters and started selling them much faster.

But sometimes you're looking excellence in one area instead of versatility. This forum seems to be more hard-rock focused, but I play mainly blues--clean and overdriven--and the sound of the ES-3xx is probably the best in the game for this style. Too bad they're way to expensive for many of us.
