i'll try this once i get my js back together. I planned on taking it to a auto shop place and let them paint it so i sanded the body down and everything, and then i call them that night and he said he wouldnt do it.so now my custom jagstang has no paint and its in peices for nothin. pissed me off.

The 69 reissues have the black paint, the 65 reissues have the proper vintage style shielding plates.

The old style plates and the copper tape like the first guitar in this thread are both better than the black shielding paint. The 65 reissue has the plates like a vintage Mustang. They look like these ones in my 72 Music Master. I think the 65 reissue Mustang actually gets cloth wires too, they're supposed to be extremely accurate replicas. Much more accurate than the 69 reissues, though those are also very nice.
