Well... I'm doing it.

I've got the new scratchplate and the humbucker, so I'll let you know how it goes...

you MIGHT find yo uwant to switch to 500k pots, but you might love the sound. my js has humbucker and 250ks and i like it, but my mustang didnt sound good wit the 250s so i changed them out(my mustang has a hot rails by the way).

are you routing it by yourself also?

I might consider putting 500k pots in, but i'll see what it sounds like with the stock ones first.

And my Dad is gonna help with the routing; he's a luthier, which is handy!

Just to let you all know, the project is coming along nicely.

The scratchplate didn't fit perfectly, so we had to adjust it a bit. Next thing to do is route the body to fit the humbucker. After that it should be a simple task of putting it all back together! 😁

Where does the humbucker fit? I know the pickguard is cut, but do you need to jigsaw a bit of the body so it will fit in place?

Yeah it is. Made in 2005 I think...

I got it from WD Music. It's actually a Jag-Stang plate that dad has re-shaped a little so it fits.
