Ferrington Mustang - project

I finally got around to starting a thread for Dunxy's project.

I've interpreted the ferrington design as much as I can, and I'm fairly happy with it so far.

It will be sonic blue, but I won't be painting it. Dunxy's got something organised.

but it should look a lot like this when it's finished:

The headstock will be different. mine won't have the truss rod cover, and the nut will be the same as a proper mustang.

And does anyone have any better photos of the Ferrington? I need as many different photos as I can get. Where is the existance of the real Ferrington now?

the Ferrington book has the close ups of it, saw a copy at Barnes and Noble.

I have the ferrington book but no scanner, sorry.

It's an amazing book, the book itself is shapeded irregular and has loads of cool acoustics and electrics.

On eBay USA you can usually get it for $10-15 shipped, although you're not in the States, so I don't know if that's an option.

Yea I flipped through that book at Barne's and Noble. It's pretty good, it's got some pretty cool guitars in there.

Don't get me wrong, the design isn't my cup of tea either.

I think it would look better with a more traditional pickup setup, and white covers.

That ferrington image looks like it's 3d generated

I got it off a Ferrington page I can't find now, that had some of the guitars he built for Famous people.
