Did you have to let the wood sit out to dry?

Boy I just can't find the seam.

I'm guessing the seam is in the dead center.

Yeah, me too, but that grain lines up real good, especially at the butt.

Hmm i'll show you a better picture of the seam later, it's not that perfect.

I stupidly glued the two bits of wood together while it was still a bit green, so it split a bit near the neck hole, but then it magically corrected itself.

I had to put it through the thicknesser again cuz it had warped, but it's perfect now.

I'll let you know what's going on with the neck in a few weeks.

I started on the neck.

I made a bit of a boo-boo, with the headstock. A bit of wood chipped off the side bit, so I had to carve it back a bit. i'm quite peed off about it.

It looks good but it's not accurate, and I'm a perfectionist.

If you want Dunxy I can either cut the whole side off, glue a new bit of wood on and make the design correct or I could just order a new bit of wood, but if you happen to like the design then that is highly convenient.

Other than that it's coming together really well. it fits the neck pocket perfectly.
