Meh.... Not really a troll, just typing out my frustration and hatred of a type of music in a satrical and, now that I read the replies, rather self-deprecating way. Also, what I meant by getting lost in the notes, is realising that 3-chord rock made you shredder types obsolete for awhile. Which was a modest victory in comparison to the death grip you now have on Rock'n'roll. Don't mean to offend no Jagstang veterans or nothin'.

You're not? Well, I'm sorry then. That's always the attitude I get from shredders when I wear Pixies or Nirvana "swag". So what is it then SRV FTW?

i'm not sure if you are genuine, you thought offset guitars are the preferred choice of shredders? There is a wealth of knowledge here for guitars especially fenders. I think most of the members are not just advanced players but very technical as far as set-ups and replacement parts go. Shredding? Don't know why you thought that. Never heard pixies and swag together in a sentence either.

I'm most certainly geniune, just rarely sincere. Though, the guitarist's choice is based on how they like their guitars to feel. Ingvay is pure shredder crap in my opinion, but he has lovely taste in guitars, also, I don't find being able to rearrange your instrument "technical" persay, more ultilitarian than technical really. The ability to customize one's Gee-tar on your own is wonderful, I will admit. Technical when I refer to it is pretty much slang for those guitarists that are just that, guitarists. Where their music is just a means to show off a cool riff, not an expression of emotion or thought, as it should be. And of course there's Pixies swag! If they're not willing to whore it out, I'll do it for them.(See? Genuine, but not sincere.)

i share your opinion on yngwie, disagree that being able to re-arrange a guitar is not technical. I choose not to ruin it and i am not afraid to ask for help. Guitars don't grow on trees, oh wait, yeah they do.

Hmmm... Now I feel like the redneck that waltzed into town. I always assumed being genuine was actually a matter of being while sincerity dealt entirely with speech. And not all guitars grow on trees. Ever hear of Steelcasters?

I meant that i think a being can be sincere, not just speech. That's funny though. I might be starting to "get" you. I'm understanding your sense of humor much better when you don't try to sound clever by using fancy words. Big words in certain contexts make people sound, uhh, educated in prison.

You may also be sincere though if you like. ha

You learned to play guitar yourself i'm guessing from your diy attitude and dis-taste for bands with commercial success? That is the topic in this one i think, i'm terrible with staying on topic, yep there it is up top right here. How did you learn guitar.?

I normally use big words because kids my age (high school) find that threatening. And I don't hate commercial bands. Just bad bands. I mean, I like Zeppelin, TEH KUrdtZZ,Fighters de Foo(for the most part), and even Pearl Jam's Ten. I'm diverse, which I believe was a ship in the civil war. Who knew?

I had always thought it meant bare bones, doing things right with no consideration to the appeance just the usefullness of it. A telecaster could be considered utilitarian.

My dad offered to pay for me to take lessons, but I didn't want to spend days on end learning scales and guitar theory, I just wanted to play.

if you don't know the base of it then you cant move further only.Its really impossible for anyone ..

I started playing bass, I still do. Sometimes. Since I'm lefty and I was like... 12 or 13 at the time and had no job, I played a right handed Squier P-Bass upside down, strings and everything were strung right handed. I eventually got it turned over.. then I borrowed a friends Epiphone Les Paul, played it upside down, strung right handed, mostly played in drop tunings so that I could play bar chords so it was easier haha. I traded the Les Paul for a Lefty Epiphone SG, and that's when I started playing for real I guess. I've had a couple of guitars since then, I really didn't like the SG. Now I'm playing a Jag and couldn't be happier! been playing for about 6-7 years, I have no reason to ever stop either.
