flat sound seems to hide buzz alot too, my LP strung with old hybrids was really flat sounding and buzzed due to a low action but you couldnt hear it, whereas my jag strung with regulars buzzed less but you could hear it more cause the jag was more vibrant sounding,
i may actually get some heavy strings soon for the LP as i really havent been able to get anything i like out og the LP tune or sound wise, thats partly me being stuck with nothing but my same old tunes and routines and my personal style leading me down dead ends though.
