I think they should just make it as part of either the Fender MIM standard series or deluxe series (like the cyclone). If it was part of the standard series then it should be a little cheaper than the standard strat/tele, and if it was part of the deluxe series it should be a little cheaper than the cyclone. I'd say if it was part of the deluxe series and just a little bit more than a standard strat, but still less than a cyclone, it would be perfect and it would sell much better.
