someone said: You are bidding on a White 60's Fender Mustang (I forgot to get the year from the serial number but it's between 63 and 68 ) This guitar was originally a sunburst guitar, which someone painted over and then it was stripped and white washed, this was done by a guitar tech ED is San Francisco at GC. It's got the vintage single coil inthe neck, and it's running the Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge. This is the exact spec that Kurt cobain played during the final In Utero tour years. All vintage except for the pickup change, and the new pickguard.
Yeah, that's part of the reason I did not bid, plus it has to have been routed for that HB and no pics of under the guard and he couldn't be bothered to show the neck stamp, ect. It was too much a gamble for my taste. Could have been a CIJ/MIJ or a legit 60's but just by the headstock size for him to suggest it "could be" a '63 is total B.S.
The case looked not too bad but then there's the whole "smell" thing to think about too 😀
