I got offered a guitar for AUD$100 that I am going to buy in a couple of days.
It's a hard creature to describe, and I can only do it from memory. Not good given that I have only ever seen the thing for about 5 minutes.
Beat-up guitar, sunburst body, and black pickguard, very scratched. I think the body is basic strat shape, but the pickguard and style of the volume knob and tone knob are more in the shape of the Duo-Sonic.
HS pup configuration, and no pickup selector on the guitar at all.
Neck is what I would describe as "medium gloss", as in it isn't as light as my Telecaster, but isn't as heavy as a re-issue strat I once tried out. I didn't count the frets, but the fretboard is maple, and the whole neck is a great aged color.
Funny headstock. Has the round end like a Fender, but doesn't have the triangle shape after that, just slants stright up to where it meets the nut.
Guitar is no brand, no decals, no identifying info at all that I could see.
If it works fine, I figure I might as well spend the $100 on it and treat it as a long-term project.
If I get it, I will try to post pics as soon as I am able.
