That is a good idea, but I guess the main thing I am thinking about is resale value, and would would fetch a better price, a stock guitar, or one with a whole bunch of modifications.
However, I can see no real reason why a guitar with a genuine Fender neck would get less than the same guitar with a Squier neck.
Do you think a Telecaster neck (21 fret, for 25.5" scale) would drop right into the '51?
When I spoke to the luthier today, I told him I was in no hurry, but his original quote was "a week to a week and a half" that was last Monday.
As for pics, I don't have a camera at the moment, but I plan to buy one very soon. As in, the next few weeks. I have a video camera that takes stills, but it is on loan to a friend 😀
