a.) How does the mustang have too much switching for you?

b.) Jag-stangs are a thing of beauty.

c.) You can't use the pickups on a Cyclone out of phase from each other like you can on a JS also I'm pretty sure the pups on a Cyclone are quite a bit stronger than JS pups

a:) Anything more than a standard pickup switch is too much switching for me.

b:) Agree to disagree on that one.

c:) I don't even know what "out of phase" means, so that doesn't bother me in the slightest 😀

By the way thanks for the info about the Cyclone. It's on my list of guitars to look into once money is better. Hopefully I can pick up a Fender for a good price, so I will be looking toward the less popular models...

The Cyclone HH has atomic humbuckers which are very good in my opinion and sound a million times better than the stock Jag-Stang bucker.

If I was more familiar with the toronado or the performer I would probably choose one of those, but for now I have to say the tele. Even I have heard one put to great use (e.g. Tom Morello, Soundgarden, and others), I identify it mostly with country players, who, whether they are "pickin" or "twangin" all sound the same to me, that is, horrible.

I least like Jag-stangs. They just don't look right to me. Also, at a gig I played a while back a guy had one which was the first time I'd seen one in the flesh so I had to ask for a quick tinkle. The body felt clunky and oddly balanced and I took an instant dislike to it.

It also had a really bad tone and setup but I completely put that down to the owner - awful pop punk band and he even had his TU-2 in bypass mode so there was that awful tuning sound inbetween songs which he didn't turn down!

Stratocaster: Good sound, just, it's too common, and that leads to crappy copies that people like me buy as their first guitar(DAMN YOU KONA)

Telecaster:The only complaint is that it has a country vibe, even though bands like RHCP and RATM use it.

Jazzmaster: The only thing is the P90 style pickups. looks ugly

Jaguar: I LOVE the switching capabilities that this guitar has. It is really versatile

Mustang: I didn't like the Tremolo system. Only complaint there.

Jag-stang: Weak pickup and again Tremolo. I'd still buy it though

Cyclone:Good Trem, I just want the Mustang switching

Toronado:I like its every volume and tone pot per pickup. Combined with the 3way switch its a versatile guitar

Swinger: I just want the mustang pickup switching along with another pickup. Like it otherwise

Showmaster: I don't like the metal guitar style.
