I like the Vox Valvetronix AD50VT. They have plenty of power, great tone, tons of fx (I'm not big on fx so all I ever use is the autowah or compressor, but they all sound good), and very realistic amp modelling.

My favorite amps are Divided by Thirteen, Sewell, Bogner, and then Fender. But since apparently we have to play the amp we picked I went with Fender.

I've played everything from the Blues Junior to a Bassman and right now use a reissue Twin.

I'm currently using a fender super reverb reissue. Lovely stuff. Everything has it's place though. Loved my old mesa express. And marshall JCM800. Fenders are obvious choices as they take pedals very well and hence you can play anything through them given an appropriate pedal.

There are alot of great amps on here Fenders,Orange,Mesa,Vox and others but I think everyone knows my choice 😆

LOVE that express. great dirty channel, w/p-90s, its the 3rd best tone i have ever heard. and this is at slightly above bedroom volume levels. #### AMAZING tone. i dont think this was just the express, ive heard similar tones from mark IIs, lonestars, etc. but i cant remember such amazing tones out of the lone star... then again, this time i was playing a The Heritage guitar, with Lollar p-90s, which run 90 for each pickup.

by the way, the other two tones were from muse, and running i believe through a diesel, which is i believe the most expensive amp. although i dont know if bellamy had the diesel when he recorded darkshines, on origin of symmetry...

I was trying to avoid having guitar companies that happen to make amps, which is why Peavey did not make the list. Fender and Carvin put just as much effort into being an amp company as they put into making great guitars, which is why they made the list. Oh, btw, Crates sound good with BC Rich's plugged into em

I think there's a simple reason for Marshall not having many votes. Their solid states are horrible, mushy, unclear pieces of crap, and their valve amps are preeeetty expencive. Plus there are better amp makers out there. If you had enough money for a tube Marshall, you'd have enough for a better tube amp.

I agree though, their solid state amps are crap, but I'm a tube guy myself 😎

agreed, if i had enough money for a marshall id get some boutique amp. besides mesas are better priced than marshalls, and theyre all handwired and most of them sounds amazing.

i put mesa because some of their cleans are extremely similar to fenders (because theyre copied from fenders though, so im not sure if it counts)

My vote for other goes to the Bugera 333XL 120 Watt Head. That's what I've been using since July, and it's pretty much what I've been looking for - A unique yet still conventional looking tube amp with Fender-Like Cleans, Marshall like Crunch, and Mesa-Like saturation levels, and it's cheap too, only around $600 for the head. I''m pretty sure this is the amp I will stick with for the rest of my days, it just does the job right no matter what the job is.
