Newspapers here are redolent with complaints about "public" transport here.
Considering Melbourne is supposed to be "the world's most liveable city" we truly have a 3rd rate mass transit system.
Sadly we have followed the lead of the US in privatising essential services that should be in governement hands. So instead of being run to provide service to sevice to the public, things like gas, electricity, public transport, telecommunications and so on, are all being run to generate profits for shareholders.
And ALL of those is that list have been sold in the last 20 years. They were all government owned before that.
But that is WAAAY off-topic...
