Jazzmaster pickup, overwound, with a coil tap, so I can have a beefed up Jazzmaster sound for high-gain leads, and the stock old Jazzmaster sound for a more classic Jazzmaster sound. My future Jazzmaster will have a pickup of this type, and quite likely, I WILL be the one to build it. Another idea is a stacked humbucker for Jazzmaster. I just don't like how those Humbuckers for Jazzmaster look with the pole pieces absent, it just seems a little too homebrew for my taste. I want something stealth.
The cross coils idea reminds me of an old idea to have a blade and pole-piece pickup that had the coils at a 45 degree angle and leveled with clear lexan, and call it the V-Twin Humbucker as the coils would make a V shape, but the magnets would stick out farther.
