I remeber drawing a design for a vibrato system back when I was in high school, but I lost the sketch. I don't have the sketch anymore, but I'm pretty sure the spring position was similar to the Jazzy/Jag. That's all I remeber about it...

i would not go for a refin before i knew the body wood, do you know what it is?

Yeah, it's alder. The main reason for wanting to change is that I just cant stand the black. It's distracting to the point where I don't want to play the guitar

nah that happened with my behringer strat, which i then hacked at with a chisel to get the paint off 😡 , before painting it white, then multi-coloured and now red with black sides, the things pre-teens do...

btw this was a long time ago, i dont hit guitars with chisels anymore (apart from esps 😛 )

well if its alder it could have a nice grain, i say go for it!

or strip a part on the back or something or look in the neck pocket and see if the grain is nice

I actually had the neck off a few weeks ago, but I didnt think to look at the grain.

reverse Vs are ugly and should just be called Vs technically. because flying Vs are more of an a shape, stupid gibson

yea, thats ridiculous. especially considering its only good for monophonic bends, and dive bombs. the only thing its really got over a conventional trem in terms of use (not tuning/string breaks) is the ability to bend a note within a chord. cool, but not worth 700$...
