I have played the ventures strat before and it had lace sensor pick ups. It actually sounded really nice I can only imagine what the jazzmaster sounds like.

i personally think that they look more as if the owner is trying to be classy but failing

true class comes from brown tort on sunburst with a bound neck (for a strat anyways)

I like them, the Jazzy especially, but the gold is just way too gaudy for a simple guy like me

i have to agree on the hardware, i'd be afraid some bum would steal it and sell the gold bits and trash the rest and some idle minded crackhead craze. not really.. but i have noticed the jag/jazzy shapes are the only guitar i like black. although, not full on black-on-black-on-black. all in all, it looks good, but regular hardware would do it more justice. especially with the block inlays. she'd be sexy.

USD$150? I think that's pretty good. The 51 is growing in value (especially stock ones, it seems).

I paid AUD$200 for mine, with a mangled pickguard and no gig bag 😀 But it doesn't have the stock humbucker.

Coolio... I gotta nother guy in Idaho willing to sell me his for less, but it would come out as MORE with shipping, plus, I don't like the sunburst on 51s. Unless you had one that went from like, pink-ish to black, like the finish on old Domino Barons (I sold mine, I need a new guitar as a back-up)...

Like that bass... Wouldn't that look bitchin'?
