As far as I know, Fender don't really use mahogany OR set necks. So I guess I would be calling it a 'Jaguar-shaped Les Paul'.
edit: I was thinking... you are trying to trip me up by over-enforcing the point. If FENDER produced a mahogany, set-neck, PAF-equipped Jaguar, and sold it that way in their catalogue, then - whatever my purist instincts tell me - it would be a Jaguar.
However, if someone was to take an existing Jaguar and make these modifications to it, then at some point, surely it has lost it's right to be truly called a Jaguar.
I'm not against modding at all, but surely stripping everything from a Jazzmaster except the body and still calling it a Jazzmaster is a bit wrong. It's a homemade project guitar build on a Jazzmaster body, but it is NOT a Jazzmaster...
