as some of you might know ive had a bullet strat lying around since christmas, and although i love the neck everything else on the guitar is not really doing much for me. so onto the workbench it goes!
my plans are
1.refin in surf green nitro with matching stock
2.give the pale neck a vintage tint
3.possibly filling the trem route to add TOM and stop tailpiece
4.new vintage style tuners
5.mint or b/w/b pg
6.hummy in bridge, mustang pup in middle, stock or affinity pickup in neck
heres the progress so far, i sanded the front of the body with an electric sander and got poly dust EVERYWHERE! so once it was time to do the back i opted for some chemical stripper instead. funny thing about the sanding was that as i sandd through the black i found a sunburst underneath! now of course painting over another color to meet demands is a classic fender thing to do, but i wonder if all these bodys are painted sunburst first and then black depending on what their final color will be. sadly i have no pictures of this hidden burst, but here is the body as of now

the back

i should have the nitro by next week hopefully and will begin asap after
