its the name given to behind the bridge playing on guitars like the jaguar with excess string length for those dissonant SY sounds, so the "third bridge pup" would be between the bridge and the jag tailpiece. iirc

ok, i knew about that...but what about the "second bridge pup"? is that what you would concider in the cavity? Sorry, i just never actually knew the termonolgy for that schit, let alone knew there was haha

Ok, I'll probably end up throughing my SD Hotrails in the back of the body. I was going to mount it right to the body. I'm going to block the trem as well; but how would you do it? I figured on just cutting a piece of wood and slammin' it in. I've heard of people using 9V's, but i'm not too keen on that, not really tryiong to have battery acid eat my guitar and limbs away 😆 any other nifty suggestions? I know someone has to have a good idea that i havent pondered already.

I would go with jamming a block of wood in there, seems like the cheapest way. and it will be pretty effective too

so you want to put a PU in the spring cavity to pick up those sounds AND block the trem? but wouldn't the latter reduce the spring sounds to almost zero?

lee's 12 string deimel has a piezo under the jag trem to pick up those sounds.
