i have had two gfs pups. the first was a lipstick humbucker in the bridge. it didnt have enough dirt which is why i replaced it, and i don't like clean sounds in the bridge on solid-body guitars. it did mix very well with the neck though... i replaced it with a neck powerrails (in the bridge - i thought i ordered the bridge pickup...) and its hot as ####. much hotter than the neck pickup (dimarzio humbucker from hell). if i pick hard enough, it overloads my dd-7... yea. its definitely bright for a bridge humbucker, and its got too much upper mids for good clean sounds (as do most bridge pups) but its a joy for playing dirty. it will cut through any mix without sounding too nasty, picks up pretty much any harmonic, and rips into feedback beautifully. no squeal out of either pup, even with the guitar an inch away from the grill. both pickups have been quieter than the dimarzio in the neck.
