I bet you're enjoying these topics. There's enough of them. 😆
General inquiry, as I have no buggery money. Just yet anyway.
The pups in my jag are just stock CIJ. But they're a bit low output. And the neck pickup is way too muddy.
They don't seem to make harmonics/tapping audible very easly (Without using my pedal and a little natural gain from my amp which = squealing feedback, even though i don't normally have a problem with feedback. And it's not very convenient anyway.) opposed to the buckers on my LP knockoff. I understand that this is not what the jag was built for. It's not what I usually use it for. But every now and then I want to be able to pull off a little van halen and ac/dc.
I was looking at the duncan jag pickups. I know they say all strat pickups of a certain style fit the jag, but im not very technical and can't be bothered with that. So the SJAGs caught my attention. I mean, if it's designed for jags it's gotta work.
I do like the tone ive got now. Just with a bit more output etc. how about the 1's or the 2's, the 3's sound like a stupid idea. Who buys single-coils for the purpose of metal?. The 2's apparently have more output, but would it sacrifice my totaliawesomelyke tone? Any other reccomendations?
