I got a red Lace sensor (chrome covered) for a decent price and decided to drop it in the Jag to see how it sounds.
An easy swap as far as wiring goes, cosmetically it misses the 'claw' and i also had to add a bit of foam under the pup so it would adjust to the correct height ok.
There's a lot more punch and sustain there yet still plenty of clarity, i prefer it to the sound of the seymour duncan hot rail i have in the Musicmaster as well. I'm wondering whether to try a different value volume pot as well, they seem to have been talked about a lot lately and if it would improve performance i'm thinking its worth a go.
