Earth said: Not sure of the year, I know Kim's had it for a long time. It's US vintage. Its got a SD SH8 invader in the bridge and an AVRI jag neck pup, it used to have the vintage neck pup but it seems she swapped it out in recent months.
There's some older pics of it here under kim>view all kims guitars>red jag :http://www.sonicyouth.com/mustang/eq/gear.html
And there's some newer pics of it on the link page above if you scroll down to: Kim>red jag
A heavily modified vintage white Americanized CIJ, not MIM. Every part on it(including every screw and every piece of chrome including the trem) is AVRI, the humbuckers aside of course.
I hate classic players BTW and would never buy one, the tremolo location kills it for me.
if you see classic player when you look at mine you're not spending enough time looking at different versions of jaguars cause I could tell mines a heavily modified and americanized CIJ in my sleep even if it wasn't mine.
Nah, I dont know her.
Similar in electronics, not aesthetically no. Mines the reverse color of hers,, white with red pickguard.HB's toggle, volume pot only, rhythm circuit thin switch (which was phasing anyways) removed. so to look at it no, its not similar but to play it it would be very similar.
I was influenced by the sound of hers and the simplified electronics more than any specific look of the jaguar itself. I spose if you're a big fan of KG you could tell i am too. 😁
I'll take some pics of it today and post them in the jaguar pics thread. The pics will just have to be hi res cell phone pics cause my old man lost my camera the useless geezer! 😆
