@ Mr Kurdt - You will be happy with crunchy pats. Good pickups. They are NOT PAF clones. They are much higher output than original PAF's. As for the rest of the Jagmaster, it doesn't need the Jaguar mods. Unless you are in a band playing gigs, it has a lot of features that never get used. I always thought of a Jaguar very much as being a professional musician's instrument. A Jagmaster would be just fine, and even better with the pickup mods you are thinking of.
Just PLEASE make sure you are not making mods for the wrong reasons. As someone else pointed out, nodding the guitar purely for the look is not the right reason to be doing it.
