I have it hanging for primer, maybe tonite or tomorrow I'll start the paint.

I'll let the paint cure for 2 weeks and then clear coat it, and let it cure for 3 weeks.

I am getting my girlfriend a short scale bass so I'll set back on parts for this build, later on I'll make the bass into my next project

its not what i was expecting color wise but i think it look amazing so i went with it. the pickups look amazing on it just hope the also sound amazing too.

that's a conversion neck right? which means it will only work on a standard scale body, i.e a jazzmaster? are you sure it will work on a shortscale jaguar?

i've asked this question the whole time i've been watching this. really hope we wont be seeing a "my jag wont intonate" thread shortly here.

it looks amazing, but i'm pretty sure it's the wrong neck.

technically it's a 24" scale neck, but it's been adapted to fit a 25.5" scale body.

I just found out what conversion neck means, so even is I get 24''s from the nut to the bridge it won't work?

Its staying like this for now, until I get mo money

As far as pickups go I've heard nothing but good things about anything that Lace makes, so I would assume that they sound pretty darn good. Aesthetically, however, metal pickups such as the alumitones and lipstick tube pickups and even regular humbuckers with chrome covers have always looked really wonky to me... and being a Jaguar there's a ton of metal parts on it as it is and metal pups would just be overkill imo (that's one of my issues with the appearance of a lot of HH Jags). However, in the end sound is all that matters, so go with what sounds best to you.

I played on a strat the other day with lace sensor pickups in! My god it sounded so good.....so versitile. Not sure lace sensors are a "jaguar sound" but they still sounded great!

Id definitely rate em!
