hey can any one tell me how to fix my ds-1 for some reason when i turn it off and unplug the chords the next time i plug in the chords the pedal is all ready on,sooo i was wondering what up with it?

if you guys dont here anything out of me for a while it's because my ds-1 killed me in my sleep.

ohhhh so its on all the time? right, it sounds like the switch is ####ed. just take it to some one who know about electronics it should be easy to fix. Or just buy a better pedal.

yeah no matter what i do it's always on.

I would just buy a new one, it think it would be easier.

yeah big muffs are good, lots of good dirt pedals in the world.

What? There are some very good pedals out there. Look at the blackstar HT pedal.

Are you using a battery or mains?

Check the battery clip is'nt snagging in the spring, it may be stopping you fully compress the on/off switch.

If you want a cheap replacement that covers a lot of sounds i'd go for this:

Its a clone of the SansAmp GT-2 and will cover most sounds. I prefer it over most pedals and i have some way more expensive stuff at that.

batterys i've already checked it though and thats not the case.

hmmmmm i'll check it out next time im in a guitar store i've been meaning to look at some new pedals because my ds-1 dosent sound good on my ####y solid state amp.i have another pedal a starcaster distortion but i cant figure out how to set the damn thing without monsterous feedback happening.

Get a fender champion 600 and that pedal and you will have some decent tone. Please.

i'll look into it whats the price range? buttt i kinda want to stick with boss because their cheap and plentyfull in my area and i have gotten usedto that dry urrrrgghh type tone of my ds-1 i might move onto a ds-2 or boss extreme distortion or hm.(whitchever i can find at a cheap price.) i'll probally get the ds-2 because i saw one for $30 dollars new at the place i got my jagmaster from.As for tone i'm geting a tube amp with my jagmaster this christmass and i'm hopeing that will increase my tone.(i'm also geting a samsick tele copy from my grandpa for a copy these teles sound identical to the fender ones,any who someone think i'm going to have a #### AMAZEING christmass?)

naaah i've already bleed my relatives dry for guitars the samsick tele was $149 and the jagmaster was $300.

hmmm not to bad i'll look into it.

it's not because of your amp, that pedal ALWAYS Sounds ####.

it dosent sound that bad but i wish it had a litllle more grit in it.

I've got a DS-1 and it doesn't suit my playing at all really. If yr getting a tube amp w/ yr Jagmaster, I'd say go for an overdrive of some kind instead, or a Muff for crazy wall-of-fuzz-ness. An overdrive will sound better than a distortion with a tube amp anyways.

i think i'll go for a muff if i see one.(but like i said whatever is cheaper.)
