What's on everyone's wishlist nowadays? I have to say, mine's pretty much constantly changing, and it's hard keeping up with all you guys, especially with the run-up to christmas and all.
Right, suppose I'll go first. My EH Holiest Grail is in the post, and I should have an OLC Orange Peel around january, so that's two down. Otherwise, current wants/ needs are:
- a Fasel inductor for my Crybaby (probably the yellow "vintage" one)
- a tuner pedal, I'm thinking most likely the Korg Pitchblack.
- a new output transformer for my amp, it's needed one for ages now and I keep putting off. Might save up for a Mercury Magnetics one.
- a proper speaker cab, probably one of them custom jobs on ebay, will also swap out one of my Celestion Rock Driver Pros for a late 70s G12-65 I've got lying around at home, see what that does to my tone. Hoping it'll give me broader and more balanced cleans.
- a decent power supply, most likely the one Diago make 'cause it's half the price of the rest and apparently pretty much the same.
- a BYOC Phase Royal kit, a new phaser they're gonna start putting out that's a bit more extreme than your average. I need a nice exaggerated but slow phase sound.
- an interesting delay pedal, either an MXR Carbon Copy, EH Memory Boy or a Boss DD3. Alls I want it for is my echoes/ repeats and swirly self-oscillation stuff, doesn't have to be fancy. I'm attracted by the features of the Memory Boy, but hear it has some tonal issues.
- Some kind of vintage-ish chorus, I find myself very tempted by the old Danelectro Cool Cat chorus, the 90s one in the big metal case, they're apparently very good and keep appearing on ebay for like
