i've only heard it a few times on youtube and I'm trying to rember it but can't reber it very well and can't listen to it again because of dial up :/.Dial up is mans worst invention.

And i've been trying to work it out but yeah I have nothing to listen to to figure it out. ☹

I beg to disagree. while dial up in and of itself is pretty lame, you have to keep in mind that if it weren't for dial up, better internet prolly wouldn't exist. IMO this puts dial up firmly in the category of one of mankind's better inventions...

Anywho, you should try writing your own songs, it's much more satisfying.

I do i've written 6 or 7 riffs but there all unfinished. ☹

most of them sound sy or mudhoney some sound like spank thru though and thats the closest i've gotten to nirvana.

Get the riffs, then base some chords around it, then maybe a solo.

I feel like im teaching you how to write.

Also nobody knows im new wave was a jam song they made up on the spot. Your better off figuring it out on your own

I can play this song. its a cool song, I don't have the means to play it anymore cause all my guitars aren't tuned in EADGBE.

You can learn it from this clip easily:

I could just tune my guitar to EADGBE and tab it for you but i cant be phucked! (no offense!)

Cobain basically shows you how to play most of it anyways, the rest can be done by ear/trial and error. Its really basic.

Learn the song but write your own stuff too. I only ever play other peoples songs for fun (and rarely) in my house, never live.

if you are gonna post tabs you should prolly make them a bit more neat. For example, you should prolly put a gap in between sections so it doesn't look like a big pile of goop and hyphens. Also, you should label the strings their proper name (EADGBe for standard tuning/ DADGBe for drop d/ etc.) instead of numbers, cuz when you use numbers it has a tendency to look like part of the tab and throw the person reading them off for a sec, which is annoying even though it's not really a big deal. I also really appreciate it when the person tabbing something uses a line (like this one -> | ) to divide measures cuz it helps get the timing of it. Also, instead of saying small clone you might want to simply say chorus since not everyone has a small clone. One last thing is you might wanna make your sidenotes a bit easier to understand (for example, I dun have a clue what (deep end) means).

Meaning you want it to sound like nirvana or thats just how its happening?

it's how it's happening i have a riff i wrote christmas eve that i'm working reeeeeeaaaaalllly hard on.

Tip/Advice. Don't work on something too hard.

If a riff or a song or even a lyric is going to work, let it flow. Try and force it and it'll not work. Also keep it simple. Simplicity=Effectiveness. Dive, Sliver, Breed, Polly, Floyd teh barber, About a girl etc etc etc.

They are all very simple ideas. Try not to over elaborate on things either.

You'll get there. 😉

but what i meant by working hard i can'nt figure out whitch way i want to play the song like

or first first first first 2nd and 3rd it's those kind of conflicts.

You mean the chord progression? Just play around with it.

Some of the best songs have very simple chord progressions. Also try using variants on chords. Different voicings etc. A minor chord or a 7th, in the right place, can make a song.

Also don't forget its also the vocal not just the guitar that will make it a song too.

yeah that's what i meant i've been playing with it for a looooooooooong time on that song.

i have a problem with vocals when i wright vocals they fallow the rythm of the guitar but i haaaaaaate the way that sounds. 😵
