I decided to keep it looking as beat up as possible, which means just putting it together 😆
Scored a 66 Mustang neck off evilbay monday, i think its at the PO depot (i was out at work today) so i'll pick that up tomorrow. Then its just a case of i need to pick up a neck plate and wait for some Gotoh Klusons to arrive... put the beast together.
Going for the 3-way toggle switch again. I may later connect some kind of onboard FX with the slider switches. Wanna see how it plays first.
Since you've got the monster rout here's what I recommend:
1. wire bridge slider as a les paul type switch
2. take a couple of fuzz pedal clone kits and throw the completed circuitry underneath the pickguard. For these purposes let's take a relatively conventional fuzz (like say a tonebender or a fuzzface) and a really crazy fuzz (like a Shin ei Companion or something).
3. wire the neck slider as a [calm fuzz on-off-crazy fuzz on] switch
4. put the controls and power supply jack on the pickguard somewhere (maybe on the cutaway part?).
would be extremely epic.
