Good thread here. I know we started talking about Rox' cool VH1 build and then we got off onto other EVH topics. I'm a bit surprised there 's no comments about Greg Bennett's knock-off Wolfgang (manufactured by Samick). It's a really good playing guitar...the neck's great, the Floyd Rose works well, and it's way more affordable than the Ernie Ball Music Man Axis or the Ax 40.
The Greg Bennett knock-off is called the Fastback and comes in two versions. FB1 has a Wilkinson-like bridge...think I got that right...and the FB2, which I play, has a Floyd Rose.
Since these went out of production in 2009, the FB1 can be found for about $130 USD and the FB2 is about $160.
