I'm a session Drummer. I'm pretty sure none of the projects I'm involved in would appreciate me posing links on a site like this. If you are involved in serious projects, you'll understand my stance. I do not want to bring the artists I work with into a silly internet discussion. It would be exposing them to all of the idiots on here....not saying there are all idiots on here. In fact there are some really good people. But I just don't think it's wise for me having so much negative sentiment garnered here to invite it along with me in my musical pursuits. If you would like to hear some of my drum tracks, which are my property, PM me and I'll send you some raw drum tracks. You can do whatever you like with them. I will say this, so far I have gotten 0 people that have provided me with examples of their music and about 10 insults hurled my way. That speaks droves to me...and I hope that person everybody was ganging up on earlier for asking a stupid question is reading this. Polychorus this is for you, you are the original reason I posted. ZERO, people on this thread have backed up their talk with music. You'd be further ahead to ask musical questions to real musicians in the future. It's really simple to sort out the pretenders, ask them to play.
I like that so many people are sticking up for one another, it is what a community is all about. But I think a few members of your community have lost the plot. If somebody comes to my community and asks me what I think is a stupid question, like say, "Hey can you tell me where the closest bank is." I am not going to chastise them for asking. I'm going to answer. If the person standing behind me tells that total stranger to get a map and read it or get the F out of town, I'm going to turn around and tell him to shut his pie hole because that person is a tourist and has never been here before. Get it? I respect the fact that you are all sticking up for another, but I find it very naive of the people on here that think its a "Small Community". Get a grip, it's the WORLD WIDE WEB and you are discussing guitars. You are all going to have to accept a stupid question from time to time because, well the FAQ page on this site is bunk. I had and easier time reading "The Rosy Crucifixion". Then to top it off if you dare type in "How do I" anything into the search box, you get a bunch of threads where there are idiots ganging up on some kid for asking a simple question...in the wrong place. Am I the only one that thinks this is nonsense?
P.S. To the person that posted the you tube thing and the person that supported them by telling them how hilarious it was. Don't waste your time, pick up a guitar or write me something. I got over that sort of stuff when I got out of High School and my parents stopped paying the bills. I'm sure you will too.
