burntumbers said: I can't recommend their pickguards, I emailed them before buying one to see if it would fit, they said it'd be no problem.
$70 later, the pickguard is still sitting around collecting dust becuz it doesn't fit.
if you're after a cheap guitar, check out some at Rondo music website.
or craigslist for old Hondo II guitars.
I have had this happen too. I bought a replacement pickguard for a Squier 51 (one of those Tiger Pearl jobs), and it quite simply DID NOT fit. No way was I going to pay for shipping from Australia back to the US to get a replacement or money back, so I just rode it.
I later bought another 51 pickguard from them with the intention of modifying it anyway, and there was no problem.
On another occassion I bought a loaded pickguard for a strat from them to put on a Squier strat and I was AMAZED that it fit almost perfectly. Only one screw hole was out of place.
My experiences have been mixed.
But just yesterday I ordered an Esquire pickguard from them, so I guess I still trust them. The prices are so low it's always worth taking a risk on.
