NOS tubes really aren't going to make a difference in an amp with primarily solid state preamp. If you think all the gain comes from the single 12AX7 then you're wrong.

I was thinking of putting some in my AC15 next time I get it retubed....

So are 3 of my guitars that doesn't make em vintage..... I dunno how old tubes have to be to be considered NOS, but '95 doesn't strike me as being NOS..... just saying
