if you could have a guitar made for you what would it be and what would you call it?

and an answer to that question would be the tone of a gibson lp and the body of a jagstang (w/the switches of course)

it'd be cool if there was a collapsible type of guitar, which still functioned as a real guitar, but it still could easily fold up and be carried around everywhere.

edit: I know you can take a guitars neck off to fit it in a smaller space, but i'm saying an alternative to this idea.

actually got pretty good reviews from Guitar Player. Also, I've seen electrics, but I dunno about the quality of em...

The closest thing they make/used to make is the Cyclone II, Seymour Duncan Hotrails in the bridge, and a Purple Lace Sensor in the neck would probably due the job.

I already have the 4 I want - the Mustang, Jaguar, Jag-Stang with EMG's, and the Jazzmaster I built myself.

The one guitar I'm trying to find now is the ever-elusive Hondo II/Odyssey (Attila Balogh) Paul Dean "Dean Machine", guitar. The good part is they are cheap when they turn up, the bad part is they are rarer than a Gold Hardware maple neck with block marker Jaguar.

Ever since before I started playing guitar I always wanted a Graffiti Yellow strat with a pearloid pickguard and a maple fretboard.

But if I could have ANY guitar built...

- Jag/Jazzy body, with a cresent cut out of the butt, Swinger-style.

- graffiti yellow paintjob. Other colours I would consider are arctic white, and desert sand.

- 'aged pearl' pickguard, Jaguar-style, but with none of the superflous switches

- strat vibrato.

- maple neck and fretboard, with light gloss finish. Tele headstock. Probably full-scale.

- 3 pickups, but I have never been able to decide what kind or even configuration.

- 2 tone controls, one to control the neck pickup, the other dedicated to middle and bridge.

- Coil split switches for whatever humbuskers I might have.

- 5-way blade pickup selector.

Those are the main things I can think of.

Wow, I'd love to have an EVH Wolfgang...or its brother, the Ernie Ball Music Man Axis.

I do have a Greg Bennett FB2 and I gotta hand it to Samick...they make a sweet sleeper.
