guitarists in general aren't the 'general public'
Well, it's quite simple. You said a Maverick isn't viable because THE GENERAL PUBLIC would not buy it. I then gave examples of other guitars THE GENERAL PUBLIC would not buy. You then said that the Jackson Kelly (one of the examples) was popular with metal heads. Until that point, we were not talking about metal heads, and by saying that metal heads were buying one of the guitars I mentioned, that therefore made them THE GENERAL PUBLIC. I was talking about The General Public, and for some reason you mentioned metal heads.
I said "The general public don't buy Jackson Kelly's" and you replied with "yes they do". Go back and check, it's right there.
Oh, and your last point is completely moot. I never said it would be a big seller, and never suggested it would outsell ANY of the guitars you listed. I merely suggested there would be a market for the Maverick. And I stand by that.
Lastly, McCon is 100% right: guitarists overall are not The General Public, so the whole argument is based on nothing really 😛
