what didn't make sense, i said i'm not big on orange amps, theres just something about them that didnt catch on with me. about the dark bit, i don't like my amp being too bassey, which is why i brought up that i like the cleans that fenders have, that bright clean. as far as fender amps go alot of people complain about the overdrive channel being too fake sounding, but chances are i wouldn't use that, i'd just use a distortion pedal on the clean channel.
on my vypyr amp, i tend to use either the fender twin clean channel, which unfortunately i cant tone down the bass enough on it, or the vox ac30 which has a decent clean but doesn't work well on some of my pickups.
