Yeah that enclosure is ugly.

I'm excited about it any ways. I don't think it's gonna be absolutely killer, but the prospect is interesting. Hopefully it won't sound as bad as the Germ OD, and hopefully it'll still be Big Muff sounding.

Apparently it's going to use NOS NKT-275s, which makes me wonder how long they'll make them for, and worries me that they might make a ####e pedal and use up a source of mojos that other people could make better use of.

That would actually be really freaking awful to use up all of those! If they do infact use them I have a feeling that your right about them using them all up though EH is not a small company that would make a "limited run". If they use NOS NKT-275's I beat they charge a decent amount of cash for these also hm..now I dunno how happy I am about this

It'll be cheaper than that (as long as you don't go and get it as soon as it comes out) but yeah, pretty expensive, considering EHX pedals aren't that well built. But we'll wait to see how good it sounds until passing judgement on price. >_>

To be honest I think the stigma of EH pedals not being solidly built comes from like the old Big Muff and Deluxe Memory Man enclosures that are a big folded sheet of metal. The ones in the MXR and Hammond enclosures seem pretty solid. I got my brother the nano Bassballs for christmas and it's like a little brick.

But yeah, I do expect to be a little less, but still, that's looking at like

Yeah, those enclosures were ####ty, but the stigma comes from build quality being extremely variable (through poor quality control), hence the build quality is often a topic of conversation. Solder joints are often a cause of complaint as are jacks. The input jacks on my double muff and bassballs are ridiculously crappy (and all the russian pedals all use those plastic jacks don't they?)and the insides of the double muff are spaghetti'd in a Schumann-esque way. Loadsa people have complained about MB's dying, even though the xo are said to be better build quality. The BMP w/TW is #### noisey though, as are other ehx pedals.

my big muffs jacks are plastic at the top... but ive never had any real problem with it but its sooo noisy..i dont really mind as its a gain pedal so i expect it (and my rig is generally really noisy)

Im quite wary about my small clone... always think its gonna break somehow. But have never have any problems and therefore can't complain..

I don't know, it looks a bit meh. I'm not that keen on germanium anyway, and I doubt it'll be that good. If it sounds like a Muff, people will complain it's just the same, and if it's different, they'll complain it's too big of a departure. People complain too much about nothing. They should just shut the #### up and use their ears. It's like with the Metal Muff, everyone complained it wasn't a real Muff - NOBODY IS FORCING YOU TO BUY IT. LOL.
