Can you give me mod ideas for this stuff the rig it's self is pretty ####ty 😕 I want to make it into a half decent sounding rigs,I can't sell anything but the Ds-1.

I need to make the amp sound way better and the wah wah is pretty floppy sounding to me not enough wah wah for me it's more like waaaaaah waaaaaaah waaaaah waaaaaaah.

get rid of the frontman. I've had 2 that both totally sucked, and broke down on me.

pity they have a good clean tone.

grab a orange crush or blackheart with thhat kind of money.

check out some delays and fuzz boxes

the ds1 actually has a good buffer inside, so keep it.

Buy new pups for the jagmaster.

sell the DS-1 and buy a good dirt pedal. I don't know much about modding wahs, but it sounds like you want it to have a bigger sweep? if so nothing I know of that could really improve that so buy an erine ball wah, it has such a huge sweep.

as for the amp, you play "heavy"ish music right? save up for a good small valve amp like a black star or if your not willing to save up and get a good amp then buy a crush 15 like burntumbers said. they are not the best sounding amps, but for what you want I think it would be more appropriate. but you are going to have to get a good amp sooner or later. why not save up now and save yourself going through 4 crap amps before you realise you need a GOOD amp.

I went through about 5 SS amps before getting my blackstar and I regret it.

Get rid of the jagstang and and get a HSS greg bennet or samick strat and put some GFS pickups in it. This will leave you with enough money to get a decent tube amp like a blackstar ht-5

Also get rid of the DS-1 and frontman.

Why does everybody keep hating on his Jag-Master? It can't be that bad?

Just put some better pickups in the Jag-Master, (atleast the bridge pickup) or save money and buy a good guitar. Like a Fender: ''Mustang, Classic Player/Special Jaguar HH, Mex/Jap/USA Strat/Tele'' etc.

Or maybe something like a Ibanez if you're into that kind of thing. (personally i don't really like the feel of the neck on Ibanez guitars, but if you like it then go for it)

Jackson also has some fine guitars, especially the neck that plays really smooth and quick.

Or maybe a good Epiphone/Gibson? The Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul GX Black Cherry is a good guitar from what i've heard.

Then there's also brands like: ''Schecter, Kramer, and Peavey.'' (the Peavey HP Special EX looks like a really great guitar for the money)

If i where you i would do this:

- Keep the Squier Jag-Master and put a new bridge pickup in it. (Seymour Duncan JB/DiMarzio Super Distortion etc.) You can always change the neck pickup later, if you want.

- If you don't play in a band i would keep the Fender Frontman. If it sucks so badly i would get something like a: ''Peavey Envoy 110 40 Watt combo or a Orange Crush PiX CR35LDX Combo.

- Keep the DS-1. If you still think it sucks so badly i would buy a Boss Metal Distortion MD-2. (i have one myself and it's great from Nirvana to Metal/Hard Rock etc.)

- Eighter keep or sell the Cry Baby Wah. (depending on if you really use/want to use it)

Keep the jagmaster then. Don't get dimarzios or duncans as they are pricey for what they are, and GFS pickups will be enough. So yeah, get rid of the amp and DS-1 and get a blackstar or peavey amp - Tube is always better.

As for the crybaby, there are countless mods available on the internet.

My record shop will let me trade my amp for any amp at all that's the same size as the frontman and I ADORE peavys any ideas on which peavy would be best for me?(My record shop sells nothing but peavy and marshell)

Which GFS would be best for mudhoney,nirvana,Babes in toyland,etc.? (Grunge/hard rock)

And I'm getting rid of the ds-1 it's burnt out I'm replaceing the inputs then selling it and my other distortion to buy a muff.

Personally, I'd reccomend a GFS power rail or crunchy rail.

You really should get a tube amp, and the only decent tube peaveys are really big. Look online for a blackstar HT-5. Also, you might want to look at a mashall haze 15.

My dad just offered to give me his Kustom 250 concert edition it's a bass amp thought would it be to any use for my playing style? I talked to my guitar teacher Lane and he said that alot of lead guitarists use bass amps to avoid a blow out but he's never tried it and doesn't know how it would sound.

The rail pickups are humbuckers. And I use crunchy pats. Personally I think they lack attack and high end. Don't get that bass amp. Your teacher was talking about the infamous fender bassman. You're talking bout a cheap solid state. I wouldn't do it.

ok so which humbucker do you think i should get?

And i called the record shop only thing i could get for the frontman is a fender twin reverb or a bunch of random pedals (like 4 of them) is the reverb worth it or should i look in pawn shops for a tube?

The twin reverb is tube, but its WAY to big for your needs and has no inbuilt distortion.

The crunchy and power rail are one and the same. Its pretty much down to which one you prefer the look of.

I don't care much for the inbuilt distortion on amps anyway.And what do you mean to big as in sound or amp size?

amp distortion sucks. Stacking ODs ftw. and it isn't too big... It's not exactly a fullstack.

Neither is it too powerful.

Get the #### Twin Reverb. You will NOT regret it. whoever is trading a twin reverb for a frontman is a #### retard though. wtf. must be BS...

I doubt he was talking about the Bassman specifically, coz those weren't used to stop "blow out" whatever that might mean. They just sound bitching. Loads of guitarists use Orange, Sunn, Matamps bass heads >_>

I'm kinda thinking he's trying to rip me off because twins are $2000 and frontmans are $100 I'm kinda scared to do it because i have the feeling the twin will blow out in no time and i have no money to replace the speakers.Hmmmm it's a tempting situation but I think i might get screwed.Maybe my friend Coty will trade me he has a twin and he told me he's not to fond of it...hmmmmmmm I'm going to go message him and see 😁

Yeah, if it really is a Twin, definitely get it, but I doubt it is, you must have misheard him or something. It's pretty much the equivalent of someone giving you a new Gibson LP for a secondhand Epiphone. And get a Muff for distortion, the DS-1 has nowhere near enough gain I've found.

And I like using bass amps... They have great bass response (duh) and have a lot of clean headroom for using pedals.

no he said fender reverb twin but yeah i have the feeling it's some left over burnt out lump of crap.And do you think i should get my dad's Kustom?
