Having bought a strat a couple of weeks ago, it has quickly become the first guitar I pick up to play. The comfort, feel and sound really can't be beat for me, although telecasters will always be No. 1 for me.
I'm of the belief that an offset body only makes a difference to anything (otherr than appearance) when it is played sitting down. And even then it really makes no difference one way or another to me.
I've never been convinced of the practical merits of offsets. It seems to me the main appeal lies in the fact they look a bit more different to strats and teles, which - while there is absolutely nothing wrong with them - truly are common as muck, and for this very reason, some people just refuse to own one.
