Anybody ever bought a Japanese Jaguar/Jazzmaster from Ishibashi?

Can they be trusted?

I got my lefty Jag from Ishibashi and I'm totally satisfied with their prompt services and email replies. They have a couple of staff that communicates in english and reply emails fast. Shipping is via EMS and it's ultra fast (reached me in 3 days). They also sell individual Fender Jag replacement parts too though it's not advertised...but you can get quotes from them. Ishibashi's' on lots of people's favourite list when it comes to buying Japanese Fender instruments 😉 And nope, I don't get paid for saying all these *lol*

I've ordered things off ishibashi several times including a Jag-special a few years ago, a jaguar hard case and tuner more recently, and then a Jag-stang even more recently and have been completley satisfied each time.

I have surfed their site (readable in english)

Fender Japan's Jaguar or JG66-85 as they called it is about 68000 yen and 10000 yen the shipment cost to Asian country. this will chnged though if bought with a hardcase

Has anyone from Europe ordered anything from Ishibashi? How about customs?

Also, i'm having trouble to deside wich color my Jaguar should be, all white (changing pickguard) or fiesta red.... anyways from guitarjapan.com fiesta red looks like this http://guitarjapan.com/fenderjapan/spec ... 6-93.html# theres no matching headstock, and then in Ishibashi http://tinyurl.com/yzes6t

Edit: oh i got it (i guess) picture in ishibashi says "CAR < production completion >"

post scriptum, i like the way Frusciantes jaguar has taken some beating, anyone got one for sale? 😁

I bought my Jag from Ishibashi last year. I'm in Canada though, not Europe. They were quick with the communication shipping took about a week.

Thanks for the answers! I'm from Finland and people here usually buys guitars from germany, if you want to buy one from net, no customs and free shipment... i think that Ishibashi might be faster on delivery, but wich one would eventually come cheaper...

Is Ishibashi the same as guitarjapan or are they different? I haven't got Japanese text installed or something so the Ishibashi website is unreadable for me.

Is there any difference between ordered from Ishibashi or guitarjapan in the long run?

Ishibashi delivered my Jaguar to Reunion Island, Indian Ocean, which is actually part of France, hence Europe. So yes, they sure ship to even odd places like mine. I paid 190 euros in taxes, but that cannot really compare to the continental taxes cos we have those special horrible taxes for overseas territories.

i was wondering about the message on Ishibashi's page too (since i wanted myJag in CAR) and my contact at Ishibashi explained that Fender had officially stopped the production of CAR for this model, and that it only shipped in OCR now. So i got an OCR Jag.
