i could well be wrong. but i've always thought it looks dead on for how an actual cherry picked off a tree looks. and a few people emailed me calling it cherry. and also, calling it "old candy apple red" seems misguided. as CAR doesn't go darker or more crimson with age. or at least, not from what i've seen of it. maybe it does, i dunno. i always wanted a 60's CAR jag. but anything but sunburst goes for silly money.
oh, and also, i'm pretty sure the guy who sent me pictures of one said the paint doesn't have any aluminium filings in it. so that would put us even further away from candy apple red
