I am not left handed, but I would never let a lefty jag go either. They seem to be hard to come by and it would be fun to have one. If you are doing covers it is nice to have as close to accurate sound as possible if that is the goal. Thanks for the info you posted. It is neat to see how those settings work on different guitars and amps.
Yeah man, it is fun to try on various amps. Because I am poor trying to have music in my life and get a band started (DAMNIT! THERE'S NO DRUMMERS OR BASSISTS IN MY AREA THAT DON'T ONLY PLAY DEATH METAL).
So I use a Line 6 Spider IV. Mainly because each channel (Clean, Twang, Crunch, Metal, Hi-Gain, Insane) is modeled after a different amp.
On top of that, each one of those channels has a red light and green light channel, and each of those are modeled after a different amp.
So there is about 20 amp sounds built in, which is perfect for me since I'm poor. The "Twang-Red light" channel is modeled after a mid 60's
Fender Twin Reverb Blackface. I have the Boss DS-2. That is the setup I use for Nirvana songs and it's pretty damn close, but I'd imagine those
settings on any nice amp with some reverb will get you a close Nirvana-ish sound. Although on the Line 6, the digital reverb isn't incredible so don't go nutso with that, just
bump that up a quarter of the way. I would also suggest trying the Line 6 Spider IV series at your nearest GC with different guitars.
They sound great and come in 15, 30, 75, 120, 150 watt. I believe the 150 watt is available as a head as well. Really great amps. Also reasonable price.
EDIT: I'll post a video in a bit with those settings and my "Nirvana sound" 😁
