Well, not one to give up that easily I did a little bit more photoshopping and investigating. Here we have the Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jag-Stang overlayed with each other. They're all at the same scale and I've aligned them so that their nuts are overlapping (as would fit in a moulded case). This case claims to fit a stratocaster and we see it with a telecaster, so here goes:

The Jag-Stang-Telecaster image shows us that when keeping the body of the stang inside the Telecaster's body, the only excess size is the top horn, which in this case protrudes no further than the 12th fret of the telecaster.
The Telecaster-Stratocaster image shows us what we already know, they're both a very similar size and the Strat horn comes just below the Tele's 12th fret.
But the interesting part is when we overlap the Stratocaster and the Jag-Stang. The Jag-Stang's short scale kinda cancels out the fact that it has that big butt, and the only overlap is the way the horns don't curve inwards, and the case i'm considering doesn't go inside the horns, so this appears to be fine.
Going back to the original case image:

The 1cm protrusion of the lower horn appears to be no problem if we imagine the first Tele-Jag-Stang image in that position. The top horn with the protrusion appears to be no problem either, this longer telecaster (larger headstock) seems to have space for an upper horn upto the 12 fret, just as the first image shows. Again, if we imagine that this case fits a stratocaster it'll have no problem fitting as we've already seen that the strat's shape can fit the tiny Jag-Stang in it no problem.
So in conclusion, I'm most likely going to get this case. Hopefully my ambitious research will pay off and it'll fit. I promise pictures when I get it so you can laugh at me if it doesn't. Oh, and of course it'll mean you lads can fearlessly buy a molded hardcase for you Jag-Stangs too if it does fit. 😁
