Hows that orange ad30 do you for clean tones bob? Ive only ever had a go in the store and, whilst mighty impressive, I wasn't sure if thered be enough headroom to get, say a sonic youth-style clean at gig volumes? I'm looking into the ad30R 2x12 combo as the new base of my tone and I like the idea very much...

I can keep up with a loud drummer with it, just, 'cause for clean tones you have to have the gain 2, perhaps 3 if you're pushing it. It's a fairly dirty amp to be honest so you might be best looking at a Rocker 50 or something if you're wanting lound spanking clean tones. It's a cracking amp, though, I absolutely love it. I'd assume that the guitar amp'd be mic'd up at just about any gigs though, and if not, then a slight bit of dirt wouldn't make that much of a difference if nothing was mic'd up, in my opinion.

Ha, its a heavy duty true-bypass footswitch, you could jump on it and the switch would still be fine. The casing wouldn't, but thats a different story...as for power, electro harmonix and Rat pedals all have weird (tip positive? someone will know the tech talk) style power jacks. i got my 69 re issue mustang on ebay for like 350 USD which is a very good price, then i had AUG, a poster here and SS.org, make me a red tort PG for 50 bucks USD and got a hot rails for 70 bucks, i love it. i also wired it all up myself so that saves a few bucks too. and the small clone is really simple, has a rate knob, towards the right its fast, to the left its slow, i normally keep mine at about 11 oclock, and the depth switch, when up it sounds good when down it for the most part sounds bad to me, down sometimes has a good sound you gotta mess with it. hope that helps you

Yeah it does thanks dude. I'll look on Kurt's Equipment when my pedal arrives as I think it has settings... something about the knob being in the up position so it was hardwired up.

I really want that Mustang though, more than anything. Even a girlfriend. 😆 Is it worth the money it's advertised at (as in, yes, I do want it so it's worth my pennies - but literally, in money terms for what it is)?

it doesnt have setting for his small clone, i think ive memorized most of that site, it says it was in the up position, thats where it should stay, and i didnt reallt understand your thing about the mustang
