My main guitar is my 72 tele deluxe but my two back ups are my 69 mustang and my tele custom.

As for amps I use an Orange head with either a univox cab with two 12's or an Orange cab with four 12's. If i'm not using this set up I'm useing my fender hot rod blues deville amp which has four 10's in it.

as for pedals I use a boss blues driver (only if I'm using my fender amps) other wise it's just distortion from my Orange. Then I have a ehx small clone, mxr boost pedal and your standard boss tuner.

I personally loved the Epi Jr. Put it through a powerful enough 4x12 and it's awesome. No clean at volume though, which is a prime requisite of mine, so yeah...

theres nothing wrong with a valve junior, i played through one the other day. but it is extremely limited in terms of tone and headroom. id say spending that 600 dollars on an amp as opposed to guitar would be the better choice. a guitar can only be as good as the amp its run through. plenty of guys'll run 300 dollar squiers through 1500 dollar amps.

i have that amp, its great clean. the lead channels nothing crazy. you can get some good grit on the clean channel at 28 watts. although the speakers not great, the bass notes get "flabby" at real crankage. i wrote a review: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/revi ... Ok, heres my stuff...

Taylor 210 acoustic, CIJ Jazzmaster w/mutang bridge and set of custom Curtis Novak P90s in it, USA deluxe Fat strat, currently no pickups in it, thinking either some curtis novak customs or maybe some hot gold lace sensors with a JB in the bridge; any thoughts please give them!

(in no particular order...) Diago powerstation-Korg Dt10 tuner-MXR phase 90 (with r28 mod)-boss blues driver-barge concepts bbjr fuzz-ehx small clone-empress tremolo mk1 (getting mk2 upgrade soon)-boss DD3 digital delay-Boss DD20 giga delay-mesa footswitch (also have a buggered big muff and an original green label japanese Boss oc-2 octave, not pictured). Considering putting fx through the loop of my amp and just using the amps overdrive, but I'm yet to tweak it to perfection as it lacks a bit in the gain department!

Mesa/Boogie 5:50 2x12 combo...only half mine, still owe the rest to sound control, but they've just gone bust so fingers crossed!

Running a cheap strat copy with a Seymour duncan into a good amp will sound a WHOLE lot nicer than a

But sometimes a stagg les paul

through axl distortion and marshall footswitch(the cable doesnt pass through the footswitch of course)

and into a marshall 30dfx

also a crafter ashland acoustic

Its a good pedal, but requires a little bit of fiddling to get the sound your after it isn't an "idiot" setting kind of pedal you need to tweak with it, but then its golden!

jag (mostly) OR strat (sometimes) OR 51 special (alt. tunings) OR Vox Hurricane (seldom bc it is cheap, noisy and falling apart) ---->Boss TR-2---->Boss HM-2 (unless I want amp od or dst)---->Boss DD-5---->currently running into a Vox AD50VT212 where I use the reverb and chorus and usually keep on the AC30 or Tweed.

There are a million pros and cons abt the amp I am currently using, but I will cut to the chase and say that if I were going to play in any venue (ANY venue) I would probably start narrowing down my selection to a Bassman reissue, or JC-120. I know those amps are worlds apart, but for me either would be fine.

i dont like your rig. but try the super sonic by fender. 3 channel, two clean channels (bassman and vibrolux, the vibrolux would sound fine compared to a jc), and one dirty which is way high gain, and is actually in essence two cascaded dirt channels.

yours is more expensive, but youve got boss in there and valvetronix which is only good dirty in my experience

the boss pedals i have are just fine for what i play. no novelty like eh or others, just straight ahead sound and with that chain you can get quite a bit of variety (i sometimes add in the eh microsynth for fun, as well as a vox wah, or mxr bluebox...but those are seeing less and less time these days).

the amp on the other hand...it does require a bit of tweaking to have it accept pedals. it was relatively inexpensive for the features etc (299 on closeout)...but i will never buy a modeling amp again.
