ugliest fender - does super sonic count? if not, jag-stang. i mean, it's a good idea in theory, but most people agree that it's awkward-looking as ####... the best thing about it is the mustang pickguard and control plate.
ugliest gibson - too many oddballs over the years to count, but the most well known is the explorer: optimistic 50's kitsch popularized by debauchered 80's flash. since gibsons electronics/hardware are pretty much the same on all their major solidbody models, the whole point of the explorer had to be that it had an abnormally strange shape, plus it inspired other companies to do similar trash which gave us the slew of pointy metal axes we have today. they're the most uncomfortable and they make anyone who plays them look like a dick.
uh, no it isn't. even the '61 re-issue SG is cheaper than a les paul standard.
