Fender: Cyclone II- I just don't like the look of them.

Gibson: Firebird VII- Again, I just don't like the look of them.

Not all Showmasters are bad. I have one that looks pretty awesome, it's a Squier version and it sounds amazing. The only similarity between it and a Fender version is the shape and lack of scratchplate.

Ugliest Gibson, without a doubt is the Flying V, god I hate them things!

As for Fender, I dunno, I saw a pic of Courtney Love playing something pretty gross recently. Oh, and those "Obey" guitars squire have just released are pretty bad!

Fender Venus is ugly as ####.

Funny story - An old friend was at the front at a Hole gig at about 1999, and Courtney dragged her up onstage at the end and gave her the Fender venus she was using.

Weird thing at home friend discovered is it was all out of tune and turned down..almost like Courtney hadnt been playing it 😆

Of course i had to have a go on this Fender venus next time i saw her- bashed out a quick "Smells like Teen Spirit". its an ok guitar...prob more of a collectors item.

lol ok it IS a true story i just cant prove it...but you dont have to believe me. it doesnt really matter to me. i just thought it would be a cool story to share.

I've never met anyone famous, so playing Courtneys guitar is my one and only claim to fame..hence why i mentioned it!!

well back in 69' Hendrix toke me up on stage and gave me his strat, if you watch the woodstock gig in the super secret unrealesed film you can see me being pulled onstage and given a strat.....lol

To be precise though, the article says she only gave away one venus to a male; she was known to give the guitar away to girls "occasionally". That being said, it's still hard to believe.
