This JS was purchased new in February 2004. It was returned to the shop a few months later as I was never completely happy with the original setup: they widened the nut slots and fitted it with 11 gauge strings, a size I've been re-stringing the guitar with ever since. The only other minor alterations I've made was to stop the bridge height screws constantly moving out of adjustment; using some of my wife's clear nail varnish as a thread lock, and added a Fender felt washer to each strap button. The guitar has been well looked after and remains (at time of writing) in virtually mint condition.
